What can I expect if I join GRADSS?
Like all things, it's what you make out of it. Our goal for you is to build a network of colleagues from different majors that will last until far after graduation, and you'll find that our events are designed to promote those sorts of networking opportunities.
Do I have to attend every event in order to be a member?
No, but we'd love to see you at our events!
Are there any fees associated with being a member?
It's currently free to join GRADSS.
What do I have to do as a GRADSS member?
Show up at our events, be open-minded that people are coming from all backgrounds and disciplines, and enjoy!
Does GRADSS only host casual hangouts?
We host both informal and formal events, though the main emphasis is always on networking. One event could be grabbing dinner together with other graduate students and the next could be a place for you to share your research - it all depends. So keep an eye out on our website, FB page, or subscribe to our newsletter!

We're always looking for more enthusiastic people. Please reach out to us (GRADSSuiuc@gmail.com) if you think your professor would be interested in becoming a sponsor for our organization. Being a sponsor means vouching for our organization to students and colleagues, and having his/her name listed on our website. That's it!
